Relationship with his family
His father was nothing more than a sire, a mate for his mother. He died in the war opposing Undrek'thoz to Ultrineyorn. He wasn’t his mother’s favourite anymore by that time. He was a monk from the order of the Blackened Fist, just like Kel’s brother Berg. Kel didn’t really have any relationship with his father.

His mother is the matron of his house. The house that rules the segment called Brundag. She is a harsh woman who doesn't give a lot of value to males, aside than from mating or cannon fodder purposes. She even prefers to have sex with other females, upon which she still act as the dominant. She likes crushing people who have a lesser status, to prove she is always in control. She is a hard mother, even to her daughters, which she suspects, even though she is proud of them, because they prove by their success that she is good at everything she does. Even her son Berg is a good and powerful monk. But Kel… she dislikes him and his rebellious attitude. She thinks her is a failure, her only failure before the fall of Undrek'Thoz. Now, the situation has changed. Although she still rules her city, she feels like she has become nothing more than a backwater province leader and she hates it. She thought that by sending a son, and not even a good one, at the Empress to act as hostage she would show her contempt for the new rulers. But to her utter surprise and dismay, the Empress chose him as her consort and has kept him so for over 5 years now. 

To Kel, his older brother Berg is a constant reminder that he is not what his mother wanted. That he is a “failure” of sort. Just for that, he dislikes the man, and also for his obedient loyal streak towards his House and his lack of personal ambitions.

Short biography

Kel was born in a society that barely values its males. He has learned while he was very young the importance of pleasing powerful females and he has dedicated most of his life towards this achievement, in order to survive.

After Ultrineyorn conquered Undrek’thoz and declared itself an Empire five years ago, Kel was chosen by his mother to be the token hostage of Brundag and he was sent to Ultrineyorn city, the capital of the Empire.

Ultrineyorn is like no other cities he has known or heard of. There, the males can achieve real status and although the powerful males are still below powerful females in station, they are not below all females. Each Houses there have a ruling couple, mirroring the Imperial couple, even though the female retain a certain veto over major decisions.

There, he was introduced to the Empress who took interest in him and chose him as her apprentice and consort. Since then, he has spent most of his nights in her chambers to study the art of the bae’queschel and other use of his splendid body. He has become his lover, when the Emperor is not around. At first the Emperor ignored his presence or merely asked him to play music for them, but he has become very agitated, cruel and violent in the recent years and Kel does is very best to avoid this giant elf.

He has made sure all the Palace's guards like him. He plays for them and spends time with them. They inform him, when he risks meeting the Emperor.

He knows the Emperor is unlikely to kill him, it would anger his mate, but he can certainly make him suffer, so he is very cautious when he his around him.

Sometimes, the Empress sends him on missions or to assess people.

In Ultrineyorn, he stands a real chance to achieve status and become famous.
